Events

Our club events include 

• Weekend club runs that usually stop for morning tea, and lunch. These may be short runs for the older cars, or longer runs into the hinterland.
• Social coffee mornings
• Mid-week "Wrinkley's Runs" for members not working.
• We attend a number of car shows as a club to show our cars.
• "Cars and Coffee" events to show our cars and interact with other motoring aficianados
• Assist RSL marches on ANZAC Day
• Visit retirement Villages and Homes to show the cars and bring enjoyment to residents
• Monthly general meetings

Impromptu Events

DTMR has "Impromptu Events" included with SIVS registration in Queensland. They advise that Department of Transport and Main Roads is happy for Queensland incorporated car clubs to manage "impromptu events" on a case by case basis, as long as the event is added to the incorporated club's newsletter, website or social media. They acknowledge that it can be for one or more vehicles. ait is up to individual clubs whether they want to participatein the scheme or not, and how they implement it. 

Remember that SIVS registration requires active financial club membership.

The BVAC committee has reviewed the SIVS registration in regards to impromptu events, and established BVAC guidelines so our members can work within the SIVS scheme, BVAC consitution and our risk management procedures.

The BVAC committee requires BVAC financial members who wish to hold an impromptu event to provide at least 24 hours notice of the event, with notice provided to all BVAC committee members and the BVAC webmaster by post or email.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The impromptu event details must include the start location and time, destination and arrival time, and must be approved prior to the event by the BVAC committee.

BVAC members shall also include a statement that their SIVS registered vehicle will be operated in accordance with the DTMR - SIVSconditions and restrictions as legislated. Once endorsed by the BVAC committee, the member shall carry the impromptu event documentation at all times during the event.
